Amendment 1 Passed

I am happy that amendment 1 passed yesterday allowing people to move. The homestead portability doesn't cut taxes. but allows people the ability to move to a similar house in Florida and not have an increase in taxes. Save our Homes was established to help prevent people from being taxed out of their homes and ended up by taxing people into their homes (i.e., they couldn't leave).  The increase to $50,000 for Homestead Exemption does cut taxes (I think I've read about $240 per homestead). I do hope the Florida legislature does more to assist investment properties and second homes. This will jumpstart our housing economy. What do you think?
