The Lunar Eclipse Over St. Augustine, Florida was as beautiful as the night was clear. We started watching at 1:30 a.m. seeing a spectacular full moon and the beginning of the eclipse. From 2:41 to 3:53 a.m. we saw the total eclipse begin and end with 3:17 a.m. being the "mid-eclipse" or total eclipse. The video below shows up to 4:35 a.m. Pictures of historic downtown St. Augustine are shown during the eclipse. We watched a spectacular sunset over the Intracoastal and the full moon rise over the Atlantic Ocean earlier. What a wonderful way to observe the Winter Solstice.
