Golf Tournament to Benefit Friends of A1A - Sunday, September 19


A Golf Tournament to benefit A1A Scenic & Historical Coastal Byway will be held on Sunday, September 19, 2010. Please come out and support keeping A1A in St. Johns County and Flagler County beautiful.

A1A Golf Cup Classic

Scenic A1A LogoFriends of A1A Scenic and Historic Coastal Byway are hosting the first annual A1A Golf Cup Classic at Royal St. Augustine Golf and Country Club  at 301 Royal Saint Augustine Pkwy., Saint Augustine, Florida, 32084 to benefit Friends of A1A. The A1A Cell Phone Audio Tour will be among the many projects highlighted during this event.

PGA Professional and Certified Instructor, Ciaran Monaghan will be there along with Jaguar Cheerleaders, LaFarrah and Chelsea; pirate magician William Mayhem; and many local dignitaries.

Registration begins at 8:30 am with a shotgun start at 10 a.m.

The Friends of A1A Scenic and Historic Coastal Byway is a non-profit organization that protects, preserves, and enhances resources along the A1A National Scenic Byway. This citizen's advocacy group collaborates with municipalities, governmental agencies and other civic groups to maintain and improve resources along the A1A corridor.

Barbara Jenness takes joy in assisting people in buying or selling their home or land in northeast Florida (St. Augustine, Ponte Vedra,  and Jacksonville). She is a community activist and leader serving as President of Friends of A1A 2008-2010, Past President of Scenic & Historic A1A in St. Johns County for over 10 years, and past vice-president of Vilano Beach Main Street (North Shores Improvement Association). She is a past president for WCR in St. Augustine and a member of South Ponte Vedra Civic Association, Porpoise Point, Serenata Beach Club, and Palencia. She founded and is a Past President of the St. Augustine Regional Council (StAR Council) to promote the St. Augustine area to individuals outside the region.
