Fiddler's Green Farewell Party

Fiddler's Green is now owned by St. Johns County. The closing happened on Tuesday, May 8th for $5,500,000. Saturday, May 5th they served their last meals to the public. On Sunday, May 6th, they had a Farewell Party for family, friends, selected customers, and supporters. We had a great time. Here are some pictures I took: Fiddler's Green Farewell Party

I find it disguisting that the County purchased one of the best restaurants in the state in order to create more development, that will likely be detrimental to the environment, so that Vilano Beach is more appealing to tourists.  Why does everything have to "appeal to tourists?"  It is disguisting that we are turning every small quaint town into a tourist trap which will inevitably destroy the very thing that made that destination so wonderful in the first place.
